LATE ABDULLAH HASSAN ALSONIDAR:

The founder of Alsonidar & Sons group is Mr.Abdulla Hassan Alsonidar. His great personality and persona as a business leader in Yemen formed Alsonidar Group conglomerate. He created a widely reputable firm known with its strong commitment to business combined with great social responsibility and involvement in its local and international business community.

Alsonidar family is born traders and business men, after search of the necessity of the country and financial situation they encouraged the farmers and to supply their needs in the field of “Agriculture” Late Abdullah Hassan is founder of this company, who has started the small business house in 1890 with the help of his sons - Late Ali Abdullah Alsonidar, Mohammed Abdullah Alsonidar and Late Eng. Hassan Abdullah Alsonidar. All of them worked very hard, sincerely to promote the business day by day. The business was started first in the traditional house in “Bab-al-Yemen” area and later on shifted to near “Al Qiyadah” (Defense Ministry).

 

LATE ALI ABDULLAH ALSONIDAR:

 Being elder son of Late Abdullah Hassan Alsonidar, who worked very hard with his father and traveled all over Europe to build strong business relationships with manufacturing companies in Europe. He has secured the dealerships from the many European companies. Along with the father, he was involved in the country’s welfare and was elected as an honorable Minister of Municipality. Due to a lot of businesses with Italian companies and huge imports from Italy, he became popular in Italy and was awarded “Honor of Merit” by the Italian Government. He has enjoyed honorable positions in the home country as well. He entered in joint venture with M/S CAPRARI S.P.A., AL GHUIRER GROUP, SABO GROUP and Groups, but due to his health problems he handed over the task to Mr. Mohammed Abdullah Alsonidar.

 

 

MR. MOHAMMED ABDULLAH ALSONIDAR:

 Mr. Mohammed Abdullah Alsonidar, after completion of his “Master Degree in Commerce and Business Management from the Cairo University has joined family owned business with father and brothers. Due to his punctuality for attending day to day business, hardship and sincerity he became very successful business man as well as decision maker. He brought many manufacturing companies and acquired distributorships to the firms called M/S A. H. ALSONIDAR & SONS, where he is a Chairman of the Board of Directors, as well as established joint venture with CAPRARI S.P.A. famous pumps manufacturing company and started the production step by step under the name of “CAPRARI PUMPS YEMEN LTD.” He is Sole Director of Caprari Pumps Yemen Ltd. and his supervision pump factory is producing very good quality of pipes and shafts. He worked hard for “YEMEN KUWAIT BANK FOR TRADE AND INVESTMENT” to bring the stability to the bank and became Vice-Chairman of the bank. He also entered in the insurance filed and established “AMAN INSURANCE COMPANY” and he is Chairman of Aman Insurance Company. Mr. Mohammed Abdullah Alsonidar is member of Board of Directors of Tadamon Islamic Bank

 

LATE ENG. HASSAN ABDULLAH ALSONIDAR:

Eng. Hassan Abdullah Alsonidar, after completing the engineer degree from United Kingdom he joined the group as Managing Director of M/S A. H. ALSONIDAR AND SONS, SANA’A. He worked very hard with his brother Mr. Mohammed Abdullah Alsonidar and while constructing new office building, he was an active director of Yemen Kuwait Bank. He was Vice-Chairman of Chamber of Commerce, Sana’a as well as President of the Federation of Yemen Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Sana’a, Republic of Yemen for several years. He had great share of smooth working of Chamber of Commerce and Federation. He worked very hard for the establishment of Alsonidar Red Brick and Ceramics Factory and he was Vice-Chairman. The factory was doing well and having good quality production of Red Bricks in different shapes. Due to health problems, he could not serve more and handed over all the work to Mr. Mohammed Abdullah Alsonidar.

 

MR. ABDULLAH ALI ALSONIDAR:

Mr. Abdullah Ali Alsonidar worked with Mr. Mohammed Abdullah Alsonidar equally and now he is enjoying the following prestigious positions:

  • President of the Yemen Italian Friendship Association, Sana’a, Republic of Yemen.

  • Former President of the Federation of Yemen Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Sana’a, Republic of Yemen.

  • Secretary General of the Yemen Canadian Friendship Association, Sana’a, Republic of Yemen.

  • Secretary General of the Yemen American Friendship Association, Sana’a, Republic of Yemen.

  • Member of the Board of Directors of Yemen Kuwait Bank for Trade and Investment Y.S.C., Sana’a.

  • Member of the Board of Directors of Tadamon Islamic Bank, Sana’a.

  • Member of the Board of Directors of Saba Islamic Bank for Trade and Investment, Sana’a.

MR. KHALID MOHAMMED ALSONIDAR:

 Mr. Khalid Mohammed Alsonidar has completed the bachelor degree in Business Management and Finance from the Seattle Pacific University, United States of America and joined M/S A. H. ALSONIDAR AND SONS. He is introducing modern computerized system in the company in all the sectors for the better working as well as helping his father Mr. Mohammed Abdullah Alsonidar day to day work. He is a hardworking young man, observing the changes from the 18th century to 21st century.
